Werewolf By Night is a halloween special show released by Marvel.It was released on October 7,2022 on Disney+Hotstar.This is the first ever show to explore the monster universe of MCU.The monster universe in MCU is quite big in terms of comics but had been limited to only comics.Werewolf By Night is  the first R-rated show of MCU but all the blood scenes and immense violence has been toned down by applying black and white filter.

 

Musician turned Director Micheael Giacchino directed this show.Gael Gracia Bernal, Laura Donnelly,Harriet Sansom are in the main lead.The storyline roams around a strong weapon named bloodstone. When the main master of bloodstone weapon dies and a group of monster hunters are invited to the  bloodstone castle .Along with that,a competition is set in the backyard of the bloodstone castle to choose the next master of the weapon by setting a monster free..Whoever is to kill the monster “The Man Thing” will  conquer the bloodstone which is immensely powerful.

 

After some chit chat between the monster hunters they complete their rituals and start the hunt for the monster .The main character of this show Jack Russel  played by Gael Gracia Bernal is there to set the monster free as he is one of them. But this is  unknown to everyone except Verusa, played by Harriet Sansom . After the fight sequences Jack is finally able to free his friend “The Man Thing” . But he gets caught during the process by the agents of  “TVA” (Time Variance Authority).  Verusa then  lures the monster inside Jack by the help of bloodstone. Jack warns her that the result will be devastating , and there will be no mercy but she somehow succeeds in bringing out the monster inside him called  “Werewolf”. He destroys and kills each and everybody out there except  Elsa Bloodstone  as he  had developed feelings towards her during the chase between the monster hunters . And after brutal killing of the TVA agents and other hunters, Werewolf and   ManThing  both escape from there .

This show is a pure cinema experience for its entirety . It is a great step taken by the MCU to set up their monster universe . I Hope we will  see more content form marvel regarding monsters .I would rate this show 4.5 out of 5 to this  show.It is a must watch show if you are a marvel geek or a movie geek.
