Overcrowded Microbus Causes Inconvenience for Passengers

Passengers travelling on a microbus from NAC to Basundhara and back on 28th march experienced inconvenience and discomfort due to  its overcrowding. The microbus was so crowded that men were sitting in the women's  reserved seats and elderly passengers were forced to stand in the narrow space.

The microbus, which is a common mode of transportation for many people in that route , was filled to its  capacity, yet the co-driver continued to add passengers, making it impossible for anyone to sit or move properly. Passengers expressed their frustration at the situation, with many calling for better regulation of public transportation to prevent such overcrowding.

An old man who was standing in the narrow space of the microbus said that he had to face severe discomfort throughout his  journey. Many young men and women also had similar problems while travelling on the microbus.

Passengers also raised concerns about the safety of such overcrowded public transportation. The microbus driver and co-driver are the ones who should be ensuring that old people and differently-abled people are getting the  seats dedicated to them .

Micro Bus Stopped By Traffic Due To Overcrowding

In a recent incident on 29th March  Wednesday morning, a micro bus was stopped by traffic police on Kantipath due to its overcrowding, causing inconvenience to the passengers. The bus was found to be carrying more passengers than the permitted capacity, which posed a serious risk to the safety of the onboard  passengers.

The traffic police took action by stopping the bus in the middle of the road, causing inconvenience to the passengers who were forced to get off far away from their respective bus stops. This led to frustration and anger among the passengers who had to walk a considerable distance to reach their destinations.

Despite the fact that the traffic police were only enforcing the law, many people were unhappy with the sudden disruption in their daily routine. Some even voiced their dissatisfaction, saying that the police should have taken action earlier to prevent the overcrowding in the public transport.

Cycle Stolen from Sankhamul Buddhanagar

In a theft that occurred near the Pretoria Boys Hostel in Sankhamul Buddhanagar on 28 March Tuesday evening, a cycle owned by a car mechanic named Ramprit was stolen. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the thief flee the scene with the bicycle.

According to eyewitnesses, the cycle owner was drunk at the time of the theft and was allegedly in the process of purchasing a key for the bicycle. This has raised questions about the level of responsibility demonstrated by the owner, particularly given the fact that the theft occurred in presence of the owner.

As per the people who saw the cycle theft, the owner has not lodged any police complaint yet. This case is an example of how careless some people are and how thieves are operating in broad daylight.
