Journalism can be anything whether it may be broadcasted on big news media such as BBC, NTV, Aaj Tak or it may be any local news broadcaster.

Journalism doesn’t only mean broadcasting news, it has a wider coverage area than that. Everything is journalism. It may communicate with a certain group and also with the whole world. As the movie has tagged Journalism and Journalist as the “third-eye” of the nation which is factually correct. Journalism fed news views to a mass audience to satisfy the human curiosity of absorbing all the information.

We all are informed about the war going on between Ukraine and Russia, and we know about the new movie releasing this Friday, this is all because of journalism. Why do we need to know all the things going on all around the world? All that is because of human curiosity and journalism satisfies our curiosity. The world is eager to know what’s new, which is fed to us in the form of news.

The term news is not new to mankind as it was started since the beginning of humankind. Since the time of cavemen, they used to exchange news in the form of pictures/drawings. They used to inform each other regarding certain threats such as animals through drawing them which can still be found in some countries such as France, and Spain.

Talking about the current scenario of news and information news media is flooded with news and an event happening in one corner of the world will be known to people living in another corner of the world within seconds. But this was not the case back in the days as to spread a single piece of news would take 2-3 days. One should fact-check everything before publishing it as news or any form of information. Journalism is a very sensitive profession where the information can be manipulated even by a slight change in the presenter’s behavior. We have been very close to news media or tv channels since our childhood which has definitely had a big impact on our opinions. So journalism can make someone right or wrong, can create someone's career, and can destroy it too. Numerous examples can show the power of journalism.

The only thing that keeps someone relevant is the media, a recent example can be of Kanye West(A music producer, rapper, and fashion influencer)who lost a huge amount of his wealth because of his interviews where his anti-Jewish statements which made it to his the headlines. He has been tagged as an insane/mad man through the same media which was praising him a few months ago for his fashion designs and his awesome music career.

Journalists should follow some sort of ethics or codes in their profession such as publishing or printing pictures of violence. Brutal pictures of war, accidents, or any other hazardous things which may be traumatizing for some viewers should not be published through any medium. It is said that pictures say more than the word which may be correct for some cases but not for all. Some pictures filled with callousness cannot be published such as dead bodies, and victims of natural disasters.

 A significant example can be these news media publishing the brunt bodies of the plane crash that happened on the 15th of January 2023 in Nepal some people may get traumatized due to those pictures.

Among all the things journalists should provide the viewers with the fairest news and information about any particular subject matter. Misleading the viewers has been such a trend these days that there is no one to trust fully and rely on for authentic news and information. Mostly youtube media and online media have granted access to anyone to be a journalist which has taken all the trust that was built by the news channel all these years.

There should be proper regulation regarding the publication of news and information through various portals and media. There should be analysis and fact-checking of any topic before its publication. Journalism and journalism can change the whole meaning of the topic through a slight change which can mislead a mass audience. So to not let this happen there should be an analysis body for every media house and it must be made sure that only authentic news is provided to the audience. In a world full of sensational press one is in search of an authentic medium to get the news and information.
